Default hey guys and girls

I haven't posted up here in a while, actually I don't think I posted up here while I had my camaro. Anyway I absolutely loved my camaro but stuff came up and I had to sell it. My buddy has a 84 and he blew the motor in it. 305 carbed, iroc, t-tops and manual. Very nice car has a little dent in the door but everything else is clean. He said he was parting out the car and I don't want him to do that.

Ok what I am askin is, How much should I offer for the body and frame. The guy who put was workin on the car to see if he could fix the engine wants the trans that is cool with me. So basically I am gettin everything but the engine and trans.

How much should I offer him?

Sorry I kept repeating my self. I am not to good at structure of my letters and stuff.

keep in mind he might make more money parting it out to the right ppl. start there and go with the barganning thing and what your willing to spend, but dont get silly with the money. if he is a good friend he might let you have it at a decent price. a few pics might here might help as well. I would not go over much more then a grand and then that depends on the underside, interior condition, glass, paint condition, etc.around here a motor and trans would cost somewere in the 600 to 1000 range for a decent low milage 350. heck if its in that good shape with exception to a small ding in the door, I would consider 1500, but thats just me.

yeah but I don't think he really wants to part it out. I think he'd rather see some one fix it up. I guess I will have to throw a number out there and see if he is cool with it. The car is in as good as shape possible for a 25 year old car. I mean other than the ding and blown engine part.

its not an IROC. they didnt start untill 85. So thats a Z. Still a good looking car though

What you give him depends on YOUR skills at repair work. If you have to have somebody put that new motor in, it will probably be close to 3500 bucks minimum. Even if you can do it yourself, motors arent cheap. And how bad is the dent in the door? Sometimes they can be pulled out without even needing to paint. Which is obviously the cheap way to do it.

500 seems fair to me. Judging by the pics at least it looks clean.
