Default help me with my 92 rs please im out of ideas

Alright so i bought a 1992 rs with a 305 stick run beautiful on the 50 mile drive back home and like for another 50 miles then first night i had it parked it and in the morning it started and ran fine then parked it again and tried to start it couple minutes later wouldnt start so used some starter fluid and started right up and ran fine. I went a couple places and everytime i shut it off had to start it with starter fluid. then later that night i was driving it and it died when it was trying to idle. so got it back home and went to sleep (had to start it with starter fluid again and then keep the rpms up). next morning i tried to start it up and it ran perfectly fine to my buddies house then i shut it off and we couldnt get it started again(even with starter fluid). then sat for a day and next afternoon tried to star4t it idled perfect drove it around the block pulled in the driveway and it idled for another minute then couldnt get it started again.???? I am out of ideas of what it could be please give me any of your input thanks guys

Derek

fuel filter would be a good start. fuel pressure check. check your spark and see how good it is. weak spark can make a car start hard. so a coil or ignition modual can do that. when was the last tune up? has the ses (service engine soon) light come on and have u checked for trouble codes?

1. The codes are very easy to check, it is not something that takes more than a couple of minutes.

2. When the engine does not want to start, pay attention to your guage cluster. Does the word SECURITY light up near the tachometer?

Bad news right there. I wouldn't be surprised if some crud got into the TBI and plugged an orifice. Get a filter back on it, and rebuild the TBI (it's a lot easier than rebuilding a carb.).

+100% Even if it is not the problem.

As a general rule cars that start with starting fluid only are running lean (not enough fuel).
