Default Help looking for new seatbelts

I am a new member to this forum. I have a 1984 Z28 that my father bought about 10 years ago, he did all the body and some chassis work since then. I bought this car from him a year ago and since then I have done a lot of interior work. The one problem area is the seatbelts. I have been trying to find a new or remanufactured black set of “stock” belts with no luck. I know that Classic Industries has a set that only comes in gray with the one side running about 107.00 and the other 295.00 the catalog show the wrong price. Any help would be great. Thank You

If you want new seat belts you have to bite the bullet and pay top dollar. Also, I don't think there is such a thing as remanufactured seatbelts.

I would pay top dollar for a new set if they were available in black the only new set I can find is gray. Having my seatbelts redone would be fine but I have been unable to find anyone in my area that can repair them.

It's hard to find a nice set locally but much easier to piece them together off E-bay. You can usually find a nice pair of front black buckles for under $20 (that's the hard part) and then buy the rest even cheaper.

Don't forget that your car takes belts from 1982 to 1988 because the '89 up cars have rear shoulder belts

As far as the belts that i have, the hardware is in pretty good condition. I canuse a good upholstery paint for the buckles "for now" or buynew buckles from Hawks Third Gen or Ebay. It's the fabric part of the belts that i need replaced.

ahh, are you looking for specific belt lengths or something? i would think that just the correct width is what you would look for.

Just the stock belt size is fine. The problem is trying to find someone to stitch the new fabric on. The upholstery shops around here won't doit because of liability issues. If anyone know's of a shop that would do this or specialize in this area, that would help out a lot. sorry I will try to be a little more clearer on my next postings. Thanks fo the help
