Default Help with 1987 Camaro Convertible third brake light

Looking for a 3rd brake light for 1987 camaro convertible. It is a 20th anniversary edition and the light is in the spoiler. It contains only 2 bulbs. From what I can tell the GM part# is 919872. It is 9" wide, 1-1/4" tall, and the mounting screw holes are 7" apart. Any help or leads would be greatly appreciated. Jeff

Try hawks third gen. If those lenses are still being made, they'll have them, or you may just have to buy a used one.

I think they used the same light in all the spoilers, convertable or not, I check mine tomorrow if I remember

I was under the impression that non-convertible models had the third brake light in other places.

certain years move them around, and also depended on the spoiler itself. if its the 3 piece spoiler, then it should be the same, convertible or not

For awhile, coupes not equipped with spoilers had the third brake light mounted on the top of the hatch window. I forget which year it became standard across all models, but it was after 1987.

I checked mine and they are both the same light but mine are 88's so the light is longer. Probably get one off a 87 that had spoiler from junk yard.

al 86's had them mounted on the outside top of the hatch, regardless of model. after that, they moved around from in the spoiler to inside of the hatch, depending on model and year. i think the 90-92 z with the huge wing had an led strip in it
