Looking for a 3rd brake light for 1987 camaro convertible. It is a 20th anniversary edition and the light is in the spoiler. It contains only 2 bulbs. From what I can tell the GM part# is 919872. It is 9" wide, 1-1/4" tall, and the mounting screw holes are 7" apart. Any help or leads would be greatly appreciated. Jeff

I was under the impression that non-convertible models had the third brake light in other places.

For awhile, coupes not equipped with spoilers had the third brake light mounted on the top of the hatch window. I forget which year it became standard across all models, but it was after 1987.

al 86's had them mounted on the outside top of the hatch, regardless of model. after that, they moved around from in the spoiler to inside of the hatch, depending on model and year. i think the 90-92 z with the huge wing had an led strip in it
