Default Good or Bad Deal?

Hey guys, new to the forums with a few questions. I'm getting my first car, and I always wanted a Camaro, especially a 3rd Gen since my mom had one when I was younger, but had to sell it. Now it's my turn

I was wondering if you guys could help me with some things. I was looking over a few cars today and came across this.

Cars for Sale: 1992 Chevrolet Camaro RS Coupe in North Tonawanda, NY 14120: Coupe Details - 326832533 - AutoTrader.com

Say it runs "100%" like they say, is it a good deal? I know I should go look at it first, but just say everything is all good with it, 86k miles. Good or bad deal? If it's not a very good deal, what should I be looking for in a price?

RS with a 350 is the first Flag....I would check this item first and then decide. Some half- a-- swap could mean more problems done the road. Also the price seems high. If it was me, I would look but not comitt myself to nuying.

At a dealership, they're going to have at least made sure it's working well enough to pass an inspection, well enough to get you to buy it. That doesn't mean it's perfect, of course, but it should be ok for awhile.

The 5.7 thing is an issue. You're going to want to ask for proof that the engine's been swapped. If they can't produce any physical proof, then it's a 5.0, not a 5.7. The two engines are identical in appearance, and the 5.7 was only a available on Z28s.

As far as price- well, you're going to want to check local classifieds, craigslist and such. It's a decent asking price where I am, but these cars apparently go for a lot less in the USA.

Kyle, if they use salt on the road were you live in the Winter you will want to crawl under the car you are wanting to buy and check for rust.
