Default gonna tackle a carb rebuild tomorrow

first time doing it. wish me luck. any tips?

Dunk the whole thing in carb cleaner and let sit overnight, make sure all the little passages are clear.

what kind of carb are you rebuilding, stock, edel, or holley, or demon?

Honestly go with a $300 Edelbrock performer, and try to get the vacuum secondary distributor to solve all the vacuum hose and wiring problem.

cant. the stock carb is the only carb that is smog legal in california

One of the best things to do is to read the instructions that came with the rebuild kit carefully, and follow them closely.

i always read the instructions several times before starting. oh yeah i have madmike's number on speed dial

fun fact/lesson of the day. carburators run better when the float isnt installed upside down. actually. they run period. upside down float= no run and gas tends to run over the carburator
