Since it is a rag top you need to check the floors, it is a common rust spot and even more common if the top has ever leaked.
How much do you know about rag tops? As a general rule the only last about 10 years. If you see small problems don't assume they are fixable. I see that all the time in adds. Easy fix on the top. Reality is once the top is more than 3 years old most top places will not touch it. I asked a honest upholstery guy once and he said sewing on 5 year old top is like welding to rusty metal. Seams not done with sewing are sealed in a hot 5 ton press.
Based on your other post this is a built car, meaning GM never put a 6.0 LS motor in a 3rd gen. This mean aftermarket parts would need purchased or parts would need to be made. How well this was done? You will not be able to take this car to a basic/normal gage. It will need to go to a speed shop or you have o find someone that know LS swaps. You take this car to a moron and he tries to put parts on it the "book" says is the right one and you could have all kinds of problems.
