Unhappy

Just go out and buy some 4:11 gears and go at it, nothing to it. This change will wake up your car. That 400 smb must be putting out some awsome power.

Go with a 373 gear if this is a street car. A 411 is way to much gear for a daily driver. As for a shift kit get a B&M.

hey man i have a 91 with a built 350 and a th-350 and 3.73 gears. and since its a street car if i had 4.11 gears i would very very unhappy. go with 3.73 gears and B&M shift kit.if you go 4.11 you will being doing damn near 4000rpm at 50mph, for being a street car i almost want a 3.23 gear but im planning on a built 700-r4 trans and keeping the 3.73 gears

Im running 3.73's with a 3 speed and I run 3k on the highway. 4.11's are just not a gear to use if you plan on doing anything more than driving down the street to get ice cream.

My rear gears are the ONLY job I farmed out to a local shop. (went from highway 2.77's to street 3.73's) You need a few special tools and failure to procure and use them will most likely end up in you fragging your read end in a few hours. Im assuming when Black says its no big deal hes either yanking your chain or hes got all the tools.....

A 400 SB with 3.73's will be SICK!
