I've been checking around a lot lately to try and find the gear ratio I have in my 89 RS 5.0L 305 V8 TBI. At first I read 2.73, but a few weeks later I read that 2.73 was on the automatic. Mine's manual and it said that in the 5speed it has 3.08. Could someone clear this up and lemme know what's really in it?

 

my 5-speed has the 3.08 LS in it, look up your RPO codes, that will tell you

 

Did you check your axle code? I found mine on the pass. axle tube facing the front of the car. There might also be a tag on one of the cover bolts.

 

ya and if you have code G92 its the performance axle. 3.43:1 POSI
