Default Gauge Cluster Swap

Hey I just recently got a 91 gauge cluster and Im wondering if it will fit in my 89 w/o any mods short of changing the faceplate?

Well you got the cluster and I think you are going to be the first to find out. I really do not think it will fit because of the slight differences. Also the 90-92 speedos' are electric and I would imagine all the prior years are cable.

yep, cable...you need an electric speedo adapter...i think summit has them

Hmm... damn oh well I'm only out $30 lol Tho I wonder how the gauges are put in that time and if I could swap the fuel gauge... oh well I'll find out here in a bit

The fuel gauge, along with all the others, are a different shapein the 90-92s'. But if you were to remove your fuel gauge they are either just pushed into some clips so you can just pull the face and screen and screws and pull it out without removing the cluster
OR
They have nuts on the back side. I have messed with Camaro and S10 clusters recently and I might be mixing the two up.

Pins, I;ve already looked and I know their diff but ones on its side and the other is level I was thinking just turn the new one on its side
