Default Fuel pump recommended?

My car stalls out at random and it’s getting worse. I tested the fuel pump pressure 39 psi and it was fine. Held steady even after key was off. I’m fourth to fortieth owner? I have no idea. Just changed the Ignition control module, made no difference. Considering the age of the pump and filter, I have no confidence in them. At this point I’m willing to change them; I’m okay with a shotgun remove and replace approach.
My car is a 55 Chevy with a 305TPI engine. I believe the donor car was a 3rd gen Camaro; base, Z28, IROC? Again, I don’t know. My fuel pump is in tank and I need around 40psi for my injectors. Any good vendors I should consider, conversely bad one to avoid? Personal experience with a vendor to suggest would be appreciated, a PN would be awesome. Thank you for your time.
Frank
