Hey guys, lookin' at a Camaro to be my first car. The one I have been lookin at is a '91 Camaro RS V8 auto. She needs a paint job, I can deal with current condition though, a dash mat, radio (I can sing to myself though lol), and the A/C needs Freon. He wants $3495 for it, the car has 47k miles and only one owner. Y'all think this is a good deal? And what kinda performance stuff should I do to it to give it a little juice? I was thinkin' bout running true dual exhaust with high flow cats and no muffler, but as far as stuff for engine goes I'm not sure. Any good ideas and recommended companies? Thanks for the help.

low miles but needs work try for 2500

 

I agree with 91, try to get them down to 2500. The paint on the nose and the hood look pretty beat up. Low mileage though which is good. What size V8 is in it a 350 or a 305?

 

it WILL be a 305 unless its got a engine swap in it. if it does, then who knows. could be any number of engines.

i agree fully, try to drop price a bit since it needs some work. But other than that, sounds like a great car. Wish mine only had 47k on it.. lol

 

I wish my 1st car was a camaro! Great choice of a car! Not quite sure abt this one though! I'd shop around some more! It took me 3 mnths of looking to find my Dream Car! I paid $4000 for my '87 V8! Everybody who saw it so far luvs it you may say I paid too much 4 it, But I know I got a great deal, since I'm the 2nd owner believe it or not! and previous owner took a very good care of it! rebuilt tranny, engine swap, exhaust! I'm not big into mechanics, but really even to me that deal w/'91 camaro doesn't sound rite, i think they are asking too much for it! just my unprofessional opinion!

P.S. of course my baby doesn't have that silly bra! First thing I took off when I got it

 

It doesn't seem to bad. That is very low miles for that car. Find out what motor it has, then sleep on it.
I would say 3000 is a good deal.
