just painted my hood today. still have to pinstripe around the silver in red, and sand it with 2000. the pinstripe will match how i did the iroc decals. as you can see in the wheel picture i did a red pinstripe over the silver.

what do you think? i got the idea from a guy on thirdgen.org

btw my car is black metallic, so it's not dust on the hood, it's the metallic.

 

I think it looks sweet!!! did you just outline the hood? or did you spray the black metallic too, cause if you painted the basecoat, thats real nice, and i need my car shot, as you can tell from my pic. the car sat for 5 years and the surface rust was bad, i sanded the hood! and well rattle canned it, but it dont look bad, i might have it painted the same way, instead of a break in the middle, what do you think???

 

Cool! I specialy like the red on the Iroc decals

 

first we sprayed the silver on the sides. then we masked off the silver and did the black metallic. we still have to wet sand and buff it. after that we'll pinstripe around the silver red to match the iroc decals.

 

i think anything that someone thinks up on their own is nice. it's your car and your taste, do what you like, and not what others say.

 

I completely agree. I like the color choices you're using. It's going to look really nice when you're done. Post pic's upon completion.

 

it's gonna be a couple weeks. gotta let the paint really harden before we wet sand it and buff it. i'll have pics upon completion.
