alright, i got a 305 tbi 89 camaro with an lt1 cam, chip, flowmaster exhaust, 3.42 posi rear, and a few other minor upgrades, im considering about getting a kit to swap my TBI to a TPI [8D]. i got a few questions reguarding this swap, first of all can i take a TPI outve a 350 and put it in my 305? Also, what kindof horsepower gain am i looking at. The other thing is what will i need inorder to swap it? i know illl need the tuned port itself, the intake manifold, wiring harnesses, The vacuum lines and such hook up the same i would imagine? Anybody who has had a prior encounter with this and is more knowledgeable then myself your input is appreciated

 

Gozzy, you might want to pick up this "CHEVY TPI FUEL INJ SWAPPERS GUIDE" by John Baechtel. It's areally good book that gives you a better understanding of the whole system. It even lists casting numbers and parts that might best fit your goals. You can find it at most popular book stores or really cheap at ebay. I paid about $9 for mine. Good luck.
