sounds like a scam

 

A scam?

We do this same thing all the time with other vehicles on other forums. We need a certain vehicle, in this case an 82-92 Camaro, to prototype new parts (bumpers, fenders, hoods, trunks, etc.)
The owner of the vehicle gets our new body kit pieces in exchange for letting us use their car for a few weeks.

The reason for us being a paying vendor on this forum is to provide special deals for members, and get ideas for new products, and then to actually make new products with your guys' interest.

Wouldn't it be just as feasible to buy a third gen? That way any future test fitting you may require, you will have the vehicle. Hell, you should be able to pick something up solid and running for less than $1000

 

Yes, I've brought this up too; we just do not have the room to buy and store vehicles at our facility & would rather see a forum member get hooked up with free parts in exchange for letting us use their car for prototyping.

 

I see... I find it hard to believe nobody has taken you up on this offer yet! While I would like to see someone here get the hook up, have you tried TGO? Probably hundreds of third gen owners on that site around your area.
