Ethanol and Methanol are two totally different types of alcohol. Ethanol is a grain alcohol (drinking alcohol). Methanol is a wood grain alcohol and you'll go blind and can even die if you drink it.
Methanol is what racers use, and it is the volatile, corrosive, toxic one. The misinformation being passed around, such as what I just read above, (putting methanol in the same category as ethanol), is one of the contributors to the "a little alcohol in the gas is bad for the system" myth.
Google em both if you want to know more about them.

lol your the man thanks for all the information you give.
my hard start up was because of my choke. the spring housing needed to be adjusted and was very loose. Thank you.

really, E85 should be a buck or less a gallon, but is usually always about the same price as 87 oct gas.
Ethanol is not cheaper and cleaner. Not by a long shot. It's highly inefficient and expensive to produce, that's why it is more expensive than gasoline. Not to mention it's effects on corn prices, which in turn raise food prices.

Really the only ones who benefit from Ethanol are the farmers who produce the corn.

actually corn crops for ethanol were switched to other types of crops. the price is high because they milk the price is all.

They use corn feed for animals, which in turn makes it more expensive to feed the animals, driving food costs up still. Try again.
