Default engine suggestions?

I am buying a 350 for my 2.8 and I was wondering what is the best tranny but keeping it a 5spd? Well i jsut was looking and found a 350 out of a 73 Blazer will that fit? a couple more questions if noone minds.... If I have a fuel injected car and i go carberated i will need to take out the fuel pump of course...is it easier just to go with a fuel injected 350? The guy i might buy the 350 from also has a 305 out of an 84 camaro so wich one would be my better option?

get the 350 . you can get more hp out of it and they are better built IMO. as for the fuel injection to carb, im doing the same myself with a 1991 rs , im just going to put in a gas tank from an earlier carbureted camaro and go that route.
