Vacuum Leak Found!
I took a can of Carb Cleaner and sprayed it on different spots along the vacuum until it affected my cars idling and I found that the problem (hopefully the only problem) is a cracked grommet where the PCV valve meets the engine. After spraying the grommet for about a second the RPMs take a dive so much so that the engine nearly stalls. Now here is the question. What can I do to fix this? I have some RTV gasket maker, so would using that on the crack to seal it up work, or will it create problems? Or is there an easy way to change out the grommet? I suspect not. Any response would be appreciated because I have the day off today and I would like to take care of this problem once and for all!

You can get a replacement pcv grommet from your local auto parts store. The old one is probably hard as rock so try not to drop crumbs into the v/cover when removing. The new one will be a snap to put in because it will be soft and pliable.

Thanks for all your help guys. I replaced the PCV grommet and got nowhere, so i took it in for a diagnostic. Turns out that the throttle mounting screw hole threading was bad on my TPS which made it ride lower than it should. And to top it all off, all that wear and tear cracked my head gasket, so I am going to put that engine to rest and restore a 350. If you have any pointers for me, you can put them in this new thread I created. Thanks again guys.
