i start my car up it idles round 600 rpm. when i give it gas it boggs down to almost a stall. it doesnt move at all in gear when i do that. if i give it gas repeatitly it back fires. its not on the road yet and im still trying to figure the problem so i can register it. any suggestions

 

tell us what engine are you speking off, carb or FI, year, etc... You are not giving us much to go on with you post.

 

oops , yea left out some details... ok 1985 iroc z28 FI 5.0

im going to buy a new mass air flow today
Change the plugs
and change the Fuel injectors....also im not even sure yet, does my camo have 1 or 2 fuel injectors.
and chnage the fuel filter.

hopefully this solves my problem. the car has been off road for 3 yrs so its needs a good tune up

 

you have 8 injectors. your saying this car sat up for 3 years? if so better check for rust and water in the tank. sick
