Exclamation electric fans

ok so im going nuts here i bought a 92 rs camaro with the 305 tbi in it about two years ago. it would never get up to temp so i changed the thermostat in it and now it will get up to temp but warms up way to much but will not cool down so i replaced the electric fan and relay i could get the fan to kick on with the ac switch on but now i cant get the fans to kick on period. anyone care to take a stab at it?

sounds like the temp sensor for the fan may be bad or is not getting juice. check fuses.

any ses light come on? have u checked for trouble codes? get the test light out and see if power is getting to the fan or the sensor. well u could run a small hot and ground wire to the plugin on the fan and see if it comes on. its best to do it rihgt but u could hook up a manual switch so u can turn the fans on when u want.

well do you think if i replaced the sensor that would fix the problem or should i just bypass it and hot wire it

test the relay and see if your gettting juice to it. i read that another guy on here got one that was not good quality and it went out in short order. are u sure the thermostat is in the right way and is the right one for your car. not sure if its an issue with the 305 but is there bleeder valves in the coolant system. could be air lock.

yeah the thermostat is good because i can go down the highway and i can watch my guage and i can see when it opens and closes on the guage. its just the fans im having issues with. do you know where the sensor is on the 305s for the fan switch?

well theres nothing on the water pump on mine and with this being a different set up. im honestly tired of fooling with this damn thing im about to get rid of it and buy a 97 Z28 with ttops.......no one knows where this damn switch is even though it "does exsist" unless you talk to the kid at auto zone then there isnt one on mine...even though the fans dont work without it
