Yeah... Whats wrong is you have a egr valve on there in the first place, lol. If you arent in cali, just rip the som***** off.

DO NOT rip it off. Its not hurting you if its working correctly. But its not helping either. Im in Missouri and i need it. So check with local laws before you rip any of that emissions equipment off.

Whats happening? Its hard to help ya if we dont know whats happening.

Like 350rs asked, what is gouing on? Is it getting a lot of carbon build up. vacuum diaphram going bad? Is it the electric one on a 3.1 V6?

Maybe im just used to Ohio's relaxed smog laws, but what is really the point of having it on? Just take it off and put a block off plate over it, and then you wont ever have to worry about it again. Of course it could throw a code, but that is the only problem I foresee...

My point is, if he isnt in a state that requires it, just forget it. Arent cars exempt from smog anyways once they reach 25 years old and become legally a classic?

Oh and BTW, not saying that his car is 25 years old, but my point is pretty soon we can do anything we want to our cars (I already do though;))

We don't all live in Ohio. Here in California it 1975 or older. And as a Califonian I thank you an behalf of all Californians for creating more polutants so we can work harder at cleaning the air!

You still need to tell us what is happening causing you to have to replace it.
