efi v6 to carb v8 swap
i got a line on a free camaro, i took a quick look at her and its an efi, v6, standard. im guessin its 4.3? im pretty sure the bell housing and motor mounts are the same as a v8 right? if not its not a real big deal
another thing, how much screwing around is it to put a carbd engine in a efi camaro, im guessing i can scrap all the wiring harness from the camaro and drop in the v8 and some electrical from another carbd chev? is it really worth my time? im told the wiring is ****ed up in her anyways so getting rid of that wont be a problem. i think since its free i dont have much to loose but dont wanna get into it and end up with a lot of wasted time. thanks for any help or input

Bell housing and motor mounts are not the same as the V8. You will need to swap the cross member, transmission, and motor mounts. If its stock its not a 4.3 since it was never offered in a F-body. The 2.8 and 3.1 where offered. You will also need the cooling system from a V8 3rd gen (hoses, radiator, fan). Your best bet will be to find a donor car.

you dont need to swap any cross memeber. the most involved portion aside from pulling the motor itself is removing the electric fuel pump and putting a hose in its place. you can run the electric pump with a return style pressure regulator, but chances are what you will spend on that will be negated when the fuel pump goes. also, what year is it? that will be dependant on what trans you will need
