Door and lock probs
I have a 91 camaro RS and every time i open my door it makes a loud popping sound.... Is there a way to fix this besides useing grease or WD-40?
And the drivers side door doesnt unlock from the ouside using the key but the passengers isde does , How do i fix this?

Popping-
Are there any dents that are getting in the way at the leading edge of the door? Inspect your hinge/roller pins for wear. Shoot them full of LITHIUM GREASE, not WD40.
The lock- assuming it locks from the inside....
Your lock linkage from the cylinder to the latch is disconnected. (The little rod that connects the lock cylinder to the actual door latch) Id bet it either got rusted or seized up and broke, or somebody tried to pop the lock with a coat hanger. (I did this once when I was young, tying some 'hooah' ****, showing off how to pick a door lock). The only way to fix it is to pull the entire door apart and hook it back up again. Its a real PITA, taking apart the entire door takes time, special tools and some skill, all for a 14 cent clip. I think EVERY old car Ive owned has done this to me, its a right of passage.....

Have you tried hitting the hinges with lithium grease? I had the same thing going on with mine, and it turned out to be the spring loaded mechanisim that holds the door open in the hinge, not sure what it's called. It's got a roller pin and a cammed bar right above the top hinge I think it was.... try greasing that up a bit.
