Hi again,
as mention, we do have questions...
Since last week we cannot start the car anymore. In fact, it tries to start but it doesn´t. Now I do have to mention that the pre-owner installed an Excalibur alarm system. I am not sure, at first we thougth this one is messed up. But it seems to work, we checked all the wirings as far as we could (especially the immobilizer stuff).
However, we figured out, that the cable towards the fuel pump seems to be dead. There is a 10 Amp fuse the should feed this line, and this one behaves rather strange. I pulled the fuse and checked to signal in the fuse box. With the fuse itself removed there are two pins, one should have a 12V signal, the other not. However, both bring up 12V. [>:]
So I decided to bypass that fuse and bring power directly to the fuel pump. Didn´t work - no changes.
What else could be our problem, where should we look??
Thanks for any help!!

Most aftermarket alarms have a miniature push button switch to defeat the system, usually somewhere under the dasboard. May want to check with former owner for proper procedure to deactivate the alarm. Never buy a car that has an aftermrket alarm installed, they sooner or later leave you stranded somewhere.

This one unfortunatly does not. It says excalibur on it, but I could not find any documentation about it.
As said, it looks as if the alarm works fine, what is really struggling me the strange behaviour in the fuse box.
