dismantling the upper dashboard

Default dismantling the upper dashboard

Hello everyone, I wanted to know how to dismantle the upper part of the dash where there are the speakers ... I removed the screws that are below but I can not remove it, I'm afraid of breaking it!, some of you to feel? thanks! hello!

There are screws up front near the defrost vents also it should come up then just gentle pull up on it and see where it is staying on and that is where you should look for a screw

When it starts moving, BE CAREFUL, hold it level and move with caution. If you drop it or put is somewhere and yer not paying attention, you will crack it in half.

or when you get mad and impatient when replaceing the heater core.. and punch it to get it "into place" like i did. Then you get a nice crack from that as well. haha..

Onto the OP: there are a bunch of screws on bottom and 4 or 5 in the defrost vent in the middle by the windshield. If you can get either a LONG extension 1/4" drive or a hand type on there that would be best. be carefull about dropping them into the duct though.. pita to get out with that pesky window in the way.

done !!... thanks, I felt a little 'crack but you are not' break anything thankfully
