Just paid my truck off which is now an extra 700 a month that I can put in to my car.. Where I'm stuck at is what to do with the engine and tranny. The tranny is shot... Again. So should I get a new one? And the motor hasn't been rebuilt but has 170000 on it. What I do? Ugh...

 

save up your pennies and either build a new one, or if you want, slap in a ls with a t56. that would be a sweeeeeeet setup.

 

Well I think with the engine, im just going to do an overhaul of the engine. Its never been rebuild and I know it needs new starter, wires, and distributor. So ill replace all the performance parts on the motor. And Drive it until the motor takes a ****, then ill just buy a new 350 from summit.

But the transmission is wierd. I know that the 89s had the Anti-Theft System in it. Will I need to transfer over the computer to the transmission? Or can I get a new one from GM or another place?
