Default Convertable Top, What's missing???

I have an 88 IROC Z28 with a ASC convertable top, I know something is missing to unlatch rear of top. I can reach under and pull lever to unlatch but it looks like something is missing and you should be able to reach from cutout in side of boot when it is down. anyone have pics to show?? here is pic of what I have and you can see where cutout is. something must attatch to lever cause there was a plastic rod holder in hole like the kind that hold door lock rods on.

I don't have any pictures of it, but on my 89 convertible, the latch that, I assume, connects to what you pictured there, is on the driver side, facing toward to passenger side. If you were sitting in the back seat, on the driver side, it'd be chest high on your left. Take a look?

Nothing there on my car, part is broken. If you could take pic of both sides of that handle it would be nice.

Is there a hole for the missing latch?

I wish you could have replied earlier today, or that I could have remembered to take a pic today. The car is at my dad's and I'm home now. :/

It is just a latch in a similar style to the door handles on your car, except you can only fit about 2 of your fingers into it, and it slides about an inch, and boom, your top is unlocked.

None of that is there. Found a car on ebay that had a good pic, just going to make a handle myself. I'm just fixing car to sell, trying to get everything to work and all the body back together. Thanks anyways
