Default Car only revs past 30 mph

so earlier today I was driving around got another nice day, and I was going up this lil hill. I noticed it was starting to go slower since I wasn't on the gas so I went to push it and all it did was rev as if it was in neutral. I went to pull over put it in park and turned it off and started it again. Park, reverse, neural all worked so I put it in drive again. It felt like it was ok I hit the gas and it would go, but once it hit 30 mph nothing all it did was rev up. I looked around a few sites some say to unplug the battery for a few mins and see if that fixes it. Does anyone else have an answer what it could be?

Does it do this on flat ground or just going up hills?

Does it shift to second gear when it slips or is it still in first?

Sounds like the trans is slipping. You can put some Lucas stop slip in there but its just a bandaid and will slip again.

ok I thought it might been that, I was already planing on getting a upgrade rebuild kit from transmissioncenter.net cause I was gonna do a 350 swap. Do you think doing the rebuild kit now would hurt anything besides my wallet lol.

make sure the tv cable is installed and adjusted. its located on the throttle body near the throttle cable, and has a D-shaped button. make sure its still on the throttle linkage. press the D in (its very hard), slide the plastic end down into it. relase button, open throttle to full and it should adjust correctly
