Can't find continous power for radio
okay heres the situation, im installing a new deck(Alpine) into my 89 camaro rs. i found the three wires i needed. gray-continous power, (small) yellow- igniton wire, black- ground wire)
well my deck won't turn on because there is no power from the gray wire. (i metered it) i looked in the fuse pannel and checked all the fuses (nothings blown) i replace the radio fuse, that didn't help.... now im stumpped...... anyone know where the continous power wire fuse is located??? thx

It has been a while since I was in that part of my dash but I think the constant power wire is orange. Or orange with a black stripe. I think the grey wire dims the radio when the headlights are on.

Check fuses again. I loked and that fuse should be labled ARC fuse 20amp. If it still no worky there should be some free hot spots on the fuse panel to use. just run a wire with an inline fuse some where easy to get to if it blows.

nvm, i jus ran a new wire to the battery. got to annoying trying to trace that wire through the dash. i pulled every wire out and metered it and they were all good, i dunno what my cars problem is but at least it works now..
