I have a 1991 Chevy Camaro RS 305 and it has been sitting in place for approximately 1 year without being started on a regular basis. We have pumped all of the old gasoline out of the fuel tank. Gas does pump out of the injectors, but the car will not run off of the gas being put of by the injectors.The car willonly run when I pour gas into the intake.Just as soon as the gas that we pour into the intake is burned off the car shuts off.The carwill not runusing the gasfrom the injectors. I took the injectors out and cleaned them. Also, the car back fires through the intake.

I need help. Any ideas???? PLEASE!!! 911!!!! HELP!!!!

 

fuel pump not putting enough pressure?

 

Fuel pressure would be the first thing I check. Also unplug stuff like the TPS and IAC. Maybe the computer is having trouble relearning. My 91 sat for a year. It ran fine on the year old fuel but when I first started it the car would not idle down. I just shut it off and started it again and it was fine.
