Scott this is what i was told and if u look on my second or third post i already said somthin about it. the guy who had it before he sayd that a few of the header bolts was lose on one of the headers and he had too tighten it and the cat back exhaust was 5 years old and as soon as i herd the car start up and run it soundin like crap i could tell it had some sort of exhaust leak had a sputter like sound too it and he sayd it didnt have an aftermarket exhaust im guessing the stock headers took a dive and he got new ones on just didnt replace the cat back exhaust but its runs fine no problems no blue smoke nothin soo the exhaust needs to be changed and or the headers might have gotten a lil loose again ill kno when i take a better look at it this weekend

JFC man, use a period now and then! Stock exhaust manifolds dont "take a dive". On a stock engines, they are pretty much bullet proof. The previous owner added them for performance, which would lead me t believe he MAY have changed the carb and intake as well. Post pics of the carb. Exhaust leaks GENERALLY wont cause running problems at idle. Unless the headers are almost falling off, they wont cause any problems other than noise. Have fun tightening them up. Those little bolts take a dam munchkins hand to get at.

awesome third gen bro. i paid 900 for my 91 RS it still has the 305 for now..the body looks like its in great shape. the interiors of camaros always look rough because they wern't as nice as firebirds and made with cheaper materials. i had to by pass the horn on the steering wheel to a big yellow button to right under the dash. im sure you can do the same thing. good luck man keep us posted on your ride!
