Don't buy car with any of thes engines: V-6, LG4 (carb) or LO3 (TBI) both low hp 305's..

Kid, no disrespect, but you are only 16. Stick with a 305 until you can get a car out of a full fishtail at wide open throttle. Im serious. The only time you should seek more power is when your current vehicle no longer can scare you. (During a wet turn or sliding accross an intersection, tires smoking underneath you as you PRAY you dont hit the guardrail...) Honestly, even a low power 305 (like my soon to be replaced 82...) will give you some 'ooomph' with a carb and intake swap. And the chicks will dig your 'Maro WAY more than your buddies POS Honda rice burner exhaust tip carbon hood piece of ****! [8D]

im 17 and i have a 92 RS 305 with TBI, when it was stock my familys stock v6 mustang would run with me or even take me depending on weather it was from a dig or a roll, you dont need more then 215 HP, i would also recomend finding one WITHOUT the g92 rear so you dont fishtail into a guard rail

hey man im in the same boat as you, ill tell to whats up.im 16 and at the time i didnt know that this 92 rs with a 305 tbi only put out 185 hp stock. so now im stuck with this. and its not bad dont get me wrong, but im gonna have to do a lot of mods to get close to my 300 hp goal. so if i was you id look for a z28 or icoc z with a 5.7 350. stick or auto doesnt matter. as long as you got a 350 to start with thats good, 305s are very hard to mod and dont respond as much to bolt-ons. so get a 350. the 1989 iroc with 5.7 350 is the best third-gen camaro. good luck

I had an 89 iroc with the 5.7 automatic. It definitely had more power then my 85 z28 5 speed. I completely agree with 92camaroRS look for one with the 350 5.7

the kids 16 tho, he doesnt need a 350, a L03 would be fine for him till he learns how to drive

Im 15 and i bought a 86 iroc with a 305 tpiin it. but the 305in it right now has close to 350 hp. in feb im starting to build a 383 stroker for it. if i was you and had 3000 to spend. i would look for a 87-92 iroc with the 350 tpi. If you want a manual car your not gona be able to get that because all the tpi come with auto. im not sure why but thats what gm decided to do. good luck and i hope you get what you want.

i got an all red 92 camaro with tbi and 5 speed, i like it anyways cuz with the simple mods i did ie ram air, full exhaust, heads cam lifters posi and 3.73 gears. i also gutted alot of the weight out. its pretty F**** QUICK

im 16 and im completely happy with it because thats plenty of power in general. plus i REALLY wanted a 5 speed and theres a lot to learn with one of those. its fun working on cars man

oh yea, its a blast workin on your car, untill you get frustrated, punch the car in the fender, dent the fender, hurt your hand like hell, and still dont solve the problem. I had a friend who did it..... [sm=innoc.gif]Never mind that the knuckles on my car match my knuckles...

but in all honesty, i bought a 89 RS last may. Its got a 350 dropped in and they managed to tune the TBI to work with my 350. Could be puttin out more power, but id say that its plenty for now. Im 19, dont have a lot of money, kid on the way. What YOU need to do is reallllly think about if this money is just pissed away or not. Since i bought my car, ive put abotu 2 grand into it, and now i wish i hadnt, cause i wouldnt be hurting for money nearly as bad. I dont know about your personal life, and honestly, its none of my business, but take this advice from me, i wish i had. Dont be a fool, wrap your tool!
