Default body question

I recently acquired a 87 camaro berlinetta. I am in the process of changing the motor to a v-8. I would like to dress the body to look like a Z-28 or an iroc. Is this a matter of going to my local junkyard and buying the skirts or is there more involved. Alsoare the body parts off the 87 interchangeble with a 92 camaro. The front end looks different on the 91 and 92 models or is this just me.

The body parts are interchangeable but there may be some holes that need to be drilled for the side skirts. I'm not sure if the nose on 91 are different then that of the 92 but all the 3rd gen's I've owned have been 89 and older (89,87 and 85).

82-84 have different front and rear covers. 85-92 are the same. The ground effects have the areo package in 91-92. They will all bolt on but if you get 82-84 bumper covers then you'll have to use the ground effects for those years. They are smaller than the later ones.

yes 82-92 are all 3rd gen, but like was said some holes will have to be drilled, I did,nt like the 3rd brake light in the rear hatch on my 91rs so i put one off a 86z so now it,s in the wing, some holes were added and the wing is alittle wider, but looks great. But if you want it to look like a Z-28 then go find a Z-28 or RS cause if memory serves me? was,nt the berlinetta the chick version of the camaro! (SORRY) it had to be said, good luck in your sex change. Dhighway
