just wondering how hard it is to swap a t-5 into an 89 camaro that is automatic right now. its got a 700r4.

 

it will be a weekend project or longer. need to remove old tranny brake pedal and cut a hole in the tunnel. it sound easy but it is time consuming. if you go through with it good luck.

3rd gens weren't ever column shift, only tunnel shift. you're going to need EVERYTHING for the T5. new clutch and pressure plate, clutch fluid resevoir, new pedal assembly, new trans mounts. it's going to be a lot of work, i can tell you that one right now

 

to be honest, if you have a buildt motor, or plan on putting on in. put a better trandmission in than a t-5

 

i agree with 350rs, i would go with a T56, but that's just me
