Anyone know
Does anyone know if a third gen Camaro came out with a carb. What year did they go completely to fuel injected either throttle body or TPI. I'm courious if a 1986 would have been fuel injected or if there was an option for carborated engines. Thanks for your input

But the TPI for 1985 was only available for the 305. In 1987 they put the 350 TPI into Camaros. And TBI was a form of throttle body injection as oppose to TPI being full F.I. I don't think they had F.I. in all Camaro models until the next Generation in 1993

Thats because there was no 350 until 86. And be it TBI, TPI or MPI all Camaros were some sort of injection starting in 88.

I can remember the throttle body engines. I'll probably never forget looking into the top of what I thought was a carb to see those funny looking injectors squirting gas into the airstream. Man that was wierd
The reason I was asking is thereis an 86 Z-28with 305 that is carbed, I just wanted to be sure it hadn't been converted & there being a wiring issue. Thanks ya'll for the info. I can make a decision now. Heck I may have two Camaros before you know it

1985 was the first year for the 350 TPI in the Vettes.

Im just messing with you. I just stick to the subject vehicles and not go to far out of topic....sometimes.

But as for Vettes they usualy get everything first and better. If the Camaro has the same motor as the Vette you can bet the Camaro would be detuned.
