I know, yall can flame me for being an idiot, but I wanted to change to a carb style air cleaner and when I pulled off the original one, there were all these wires coming off of it, and I didnt want to unplug any of them if it would make the car run bad... What are they and will it hurt my car to unplug them?

well first off you'll have to get a drop-base air cleaner, so it will clear the hood. second, just look for air cleaners out there that have spots for these sensors; they are out there just look, thats how i found mine.

all you have to do with the new air cleaner is just drill a hole in the cover plate and mount the sensor in there.
your car will run the same if you do that. if you dont your car will bog down or completly out during a cold start

I have a 91 rs 305 tbi and when I got the car It didnt have a cleaner on it at all. So my buddy got a 350 cleaner and we got a 350 filter and put it on there. I never knew there was any sensor actually in the cleaner. If I didnt have the sensor in there at all (either hanging down somewhere, or completley just cut off) how would my car run? Can someone give me a pick of where it should like come out of so I can find it in my engine bay.
