Default aftermarket gauge woes

ok i hooked up the manual oil pressure gauge where a plug was on the drivers side of the block near the middle of the block just above the oil pan and theres no reading what so ever.

and does the fuel system sending wire harness run inside the car on the drivers side.
my manual says the fuel gauge sending wire is pink.
i have 2 pink wires one is a heavy gauge and one is small gauge like speaker wire gauge the smaller one reads 12.3 ohms resistance when car is off but when key is on it reads 0 ohms resistance my tank is nearly full as i filled it and drove about 25 miles

and wheres the best place to make a hole to run all the gauge plumbing and wires.(running oil press, ammeter, water temp into engine bay)

the gauges will be mounted right below the middle vents on the dash above the radio.

well I cant help you with the correct wiring but I can help with a spot to run them. right below your steering shaft on the inside there should be a rubber grommet, you might have to look behind the carpet and padding. I usually run all extra wires through there.

where can i put the oil pressure tube at on the block?

i have found no other plugs besides the one for the original unit near the oil filter and its much too large.
