Yeah, I noticed that. lol Kinda sucks but that's a lot better than investing 3g into a 305 and only getting hp in the 200s seems like a terrible option compared to investing 3g into a 350 and getting more power.

i'll look up a 5.3.

Wow, you weren't kidding. lol they're ALL over ebay for cheap. Would a 5.3 bolt up directly to a 700R4 transmission though?

nevermind, I can see from the bolt pattern that it's a perfect fit.

That does seem like a nice affordable project, great learning and a nice car when you done.
