80 series Flowmaster. Best muffler you can buy for these cars PERIOD! My friends 91 RS just had an 80 series installed and it sounds like a [:@] MONSTER! Great sound and performance. You won't regret it.

Magnaflow or Edelbrock (exhaust system mainly for Edelbrock).

i have dynomax bullets, but will be changing to moroso spiral-flows. i couldnt be any happier with the dynomax bullets, bt they sound best when the car has a high duration cam. if it doesnt it sounds like a honda with a fart can at idle. by the way im switching to moroso's because the silencing quality goes down as the packing material burns up over time. BUT these two mufflers mentioned dont silence very much. before these i had an 80 series flowmaster, and it sounded great, i jsut wanted something louder. if you are jsut making a nice street machine, then i would go for a flowmaster. but if oyur looking for something with better airflow and more noise, then dynomax ultra flows or moroso spiral flows.

oh and also, you said you got a new CAT. i have never heard of this happening to anyone with a brand new cat, but it could of been a faulty one and clogged up the exhaust. that will also make the motor run that way.

if yuo really are looking for a aggresive sound go with a 40 series if you ave a jegs magazine they have it in there (its intended for chevy trucks ) but it has the inlet and the two exits its damn near the same thing as the 80 series for the camaro app. but just a 40 series so that equals alot louder i have a 89 rs and wow its amazing my buddy had the 80 series thats meant for it and wasnt inpressed with it it was a little quite for him but still a great sound but if you are looking for a very loud and deep sound go with the 40 series that has one inlet and dual outlet
