I am thinking about buying this car. I stopped in just last weekend to see what he would take for it. He would not give me a answer. He wanted an offer. Everything is removed from the engine bay. Its kinda tuff to tell if anything is missing.

That car looks more like it has 136,000 on it. If it were a shell of a car the way it looks now I would say $1000-1500. Maybe more if it did not have that ugly grant wheel. Now how much does the non running engine bring? Look at summit to see what they sell comparable engines for. The motor looks pretty but you don't know how well it was built.

He has over $6k in the engine? I kinda doubt it. From his description, maybe half that. Sounds like he's really trying to talk the thing up. And I presume his reserve price isn't a give-away either, since his engine is so valuable? [8D] After a good paint job and finishing up all the mechanicals, you could have waaaaaay more in it than it's worth. But then, it is soon to be a collectible!
Recently I have seen a couple of very nice converts. on Craigslist in the $3k range, but I don't think they were IROC's, which does make a difference. It all depends on what you're after.
