OKAY IM NEW TO THE WHOLE BUYIN A CAR THING...WELL I WENT N GOT A 87 CAMARO..ON THE WAY TO TAKE IT TO MY HOUSE IT FELT LIKE THE WHEELS WERE GOIN POP OFF...WHEN I GOT IT TO MY HOUSE I OPENED UP THE HOOD OIL OR SUMTHIN HAD SPRAYED ALL OVER THE ROOF OF THE HOOD...ALL I NO IS THERES A LEAK SUMWHERE N IT SMOKES REALL BAD..IS IT THE HEAD GASKET?? IF IT IS IS THER ANYTHING THAT CAN FIX IT WITHOUT BUYIN A BRAND NEW ONE??

 

I would not think if it is oil that it came from the head gasket. If it is all over the underside of the hood and it is in fact motor oil check around the front of the intake manifold and the valve coversn and timing cover. It could have leaked from there and the fan blew it around. The best thing would be clean it well and watch closely. Did you use the a/c? It could be refrigerant leaking from a hose or fitting or compressor.

 

i didnt use the AC..ill clean it up n run it n see where its leakin around..
