Got my car going strong, real strong, but she is a dog

she's fast, but I can tell it has the smaller cam and stuff in it

it redlines at 5,000 RPM

the 305 has 88,500 miles on it
I'm going for fast/worth more money

I've been told that keeping the original 305 in it, would make it worth more to a collector, and keeping it yellow would help make it worth more

so I am stuck between getting a 350 for it, or keeping my 305

my cash is limited to around 2 - 3 grand

if I keep the 305 in it, I want it done up as much as possible

I just wanna know everything I can do to this car to make it better, I'm working on getting photos of it for you guys to see what i mean, she's nice, the perfect project car that doesn't need much.

I am proally gonna start with the exhaust, and then get the motor / tranny done, then the rear end

I also been thinking of having the under carriage lined over at line-x -- would it be worth it?

then to the paint shop, I made an appointment, and he says he can paint it by around April 20th, so I have a month to get the motor done and the under carriage lined, if i do have it lined, so I need as much help as possible, only have a month

well depending on what you want do do with it if you put in a good 350 it shouldnt hurt the value to much but you can do alot to that 305 start with intake and exaust redo the heads change the cam if its got a carb get rid of the quadra junk and get a holly or a road demon. you can upgrade the ignition system with an accel hei brute thunder coil some aftermarket wires or an msd 6a ignition it will hook up to the stock distribitor. or you could get a msd pro billit distrb. theres tons you can do to that 305 and if you decide to go with a 350 later alot of the stuff will work on the 350 from the 305. dont be afraid to shop around for parts ive saved aton by looking around and ebay has helped alot to.

Pull out the 305 and save for when you want to sell the car. In the meantime put in a good 350 or 383 stroker.
