i recently purchased a 85 z28 for a dirt cheap 500 bucks from my brother who acquired it as part of payment for a residential drywall job. Ive been around cars since i could walk and believe me when i tell you that this is the best looking 500 dollar car ive seen. its black with t tops and a 5 speed. there is only one spot of surface rust on the car and it is just in front of the tail light on the driver side. the floor pans will need to be replaced, the cam lobes are warn off so it starts very hard. the interior is decent for an 85. what i was trying to find out was, is there anyone who makes frame sections so i can have a solid frame all the way thru the car?? because my father has a few 400 small blocks lying around and what i want to do is build one of those so it will have a few ponies under the hood. and of course restore the rest of the car. if i did that the way it sits now, after a few trips to the drag strip or a few burnouts the car would twist because of the horsepower and i wouldn't be able to open the doors. so my question is, is there anyone that makes these frame sections??
