Default 84 camaro

i am looking at a used 84 camaro with the 305cube engine 3speed auto w/ overdrive it has no batery tray (rusted out) front disc brakes and rear drum brakes there is rust along the bottom of the whole car quarters, doors, fenders ect no rust holes but very close and the paint is a very flat white that will never be smooth unless repainted there is alot of "play" in the steering wheel the dealership is asking 1495$ for and i am wondering if this is a good deal or is that too much for the cars condition and if anyone might know any comon problems with this year in camaros that i should look for any help would would be appeciated thanks

i bought my car in better condition than that, but still a little rough, back in 2002 for $550.00 1986 305 sport coupe, back brakes were out, and you could not open the passenger door, thank god I had a 85 firebird door in the garage to take the latch out of. witha little surface rust. Chew em down..ALOT!!!!
