are 84 and 85 f2.8 motors compatable?

i have a 85 camaro with the 2.8, and the bottom end recently blew up, i found a 84 s10 with low mileage, the same 2.8 and the same tranny, will that motor fit in my car?

Should go in with no problem.If you wanted a bit of an upgrade you couls look for a third gens 3.1. Better lower end.
