Hey guys! Im sorry I havent posted in forever, well Ive never posted in the third generation but anyway college and work has been keeping me busy but I have a few questions for you third gen gurus.

I am getting my 1983 Z28 Camaro back which was my first ever Camaro! I sold it to a friend of mine and he ran it hard so now its coming with no tranny, a different rear end, and no distribitor but it still has the stock 305 motor all stock besides the Edlebrock Intake and I was just wondering what the firing order of these cars are? also besides the really sucky 700 r4 trannys which tranny is the best for these years? all info is appreciated...thanks guys!!!!!

 

fire order 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 Number one is going clockwise from the square where the electrical wires hook to then the terminal after the first screw. I myself never really saw a problem with the 700. They have a low first gear for quicker take offs'. But since yours is an 83 do you have the 200 tranny?
