glad to see someone else who is like minded, that way I dont feel so alone. If my car didnt already have a 5.0 badge on the bumper I wouldnt care but I dont really want to take it off without something to replace it.

You want the 5.7 badges for show.
And the 5.0 badges on race day!

but as for the 5.0 and 5.7. like JR ( i just thought of Indiana Jones.. lol) said, all 350's are designated 5.7 by GM. the 5.0 is the 305. They did, however, have a 302 back in the day that was also a 5.0. And they consider the LS1 a 5.7 even thought the CUID is 347 i think, or 348. Its just a rough area, not really to scientific.

I was like you though, i was gonna find a set of 5.7 Tuned Port badges for mine, but decided against it because im gonna try and get rid of all the badges for a nice clean look. Besides, i dont even have a motor that these cars used now. lol
346ci, and it is actually 5.7L too

5.0L, 5.7L is just the metric measurement of the engine displacement.

So technically, a 305 is 4.998L, rounded up to 5.0. A 302 is 4.94, rounded down to 4.9L.

And a 350 is 5.735L, rounded down to 5.7L, and 346 is 5.669, rounded up to 5.7L.

Math~

Put the 5.7's on and ignore the pundits.
My car was black with silver gound effects and had black "5.0 High Output" stickers on it when I bought it.
I repainted the car black with Corvette Yellow ground effects. When I did, I put new stickers on, but wasn't happy with the stock black ones.
So I went to the local graphic shop (they make up signs and such) and asked if they could duplicate my stickers in a yellow that matched my stripes (took pictures and measurements with me).
They came out looking factory original, but in a color that matched my cars color scheme.
Total cost was like $20 and took about 3 days. They even gave me a few extras in the deal.
Good luck whatever you decide to do.
Its your car, you paid for it, dress it up how you like. Just my 2 cents.

Well if you want to go this deep into this conversation then, 302ci is actually 4.94889L. So I guess ford or whatever just rounded up from the 3rd decimal, but 5.0 does sound bigger and better than 4.9 so maybe they just did it to sound cooler. I don't know, but I do know that math doesn't lie.
