Default 454 fitment question

I know ive been asking alot of questions but i can't really find any info on this. Is there anyway I can fit a 454 in an 83 Camaro? I mean, the engine bay is about the same size as a Monte Carlo, and will fit in it. If so, does anybody know where i can find some motor mounts for this? Thanks for your help guys.

It can fit. I got some books with a pic or two with BBs in a third gen. I think you just use the big block cups on the motor. They are shorter than a small block for the extra width of the Big block.

I would just get a set of 454 mounts at a junk yard first and fit them up. They might work with some slight modification. If nothing else, it's a starting point for cheap. My friend and I ended up making our own motor mounts for his 406 LT1 engine and it wasn't too bad...

Use the 350 mounts on the frame and the 454 mounts on the block.

Yea, they're strong enough, you could even use stock 305 mounts....Check this out....

You could use the urethane mounts if you are worried about strength. They would just make for a lot more noise ffrom the vibration traveling through the chassis.
