Default 3rd gen window felts

I'm relacing the window felts on my 84 z28. I purchased inner & outers. I have one outer replaced - pain in the butt - the window interferes with removing some of the screws (didn't want to remove the glass). But my question is with the inner. The existing one is attached to the door panel with what looks like plastic rivets. The new felts came with metal screws. Whats the best way to re-attach the inner felts. The part of the door panel that they attach to is plastic. The inner felts are in decent shape - I'm thinking I may just leave them.

Any input is welcome.
Thanks.

Lots of times the inners have teeth or staples in them and new comes with nothing. What I have done to replace or reattach then is use 1/8 pop rivets and back up washers. Use black ones or paint them but even the silver do not stand out.

Thanks for the suggestion MadMikeZ28.
