350 5sp?
I heard that with the 1le package you could get the L98 with a 5sp.. is there any truth to this? i thought the 1LE was just for brakes and suspension.. and that the T-5 couldnt handle enough torque and thats why it wasnt in the L98 cars..anybody know about this?

ive heard about a package you could get ( very few made however) that had the 350 TPI and the T-5 behind it. Madmike knows what it is.
The t-5 will hold up to the power, just not well enough for GM to put its warrenty behind it so they didnt include it on the 350 USUALLY.

I got my info from various books that I have on Camaros. Not to offend or start a pissing match but I would tend to believe what varoius authers had written instead of what I find or do not find on the internet. I would hope that these people reaserch what they write about a little more than what people put on the web. Just because you can't find it on the web does not mean it does not exist.
